Yeah, 'course you do. After 1 wearing, knickers are stored in the dirty knicker drawer before turning 'em inside out & wearing 'em again! ;)

Evan made it to the show..Eventually.

After some shenanagins at the airport & keeping us waiting for a while, a bleary eyed Evan strolled on stage with a Martin acoustic tucked under his arm (no strap). The wall of adulation must've woken him up, because despite some issues with his (borrowed?) guitar, he proceeded to launch enthusiastically into what turned out to be a wonderful set.

Evan was in fine form & to be honest, the entire evening seemed to flash past. I can't remember how long he played for, let alone the set list; But amongst the highlights for me, were the Gram Parsons numbers (Long Black Limousine & Streets of Baltimore). Evan left the stage to rapturous applause & a happy & contented audience promising each other to see him again.

Jo & I took our friends Lucy & Paul along to the gig - both of them are long time Lemonheads fans, but neither of them had seen Evan or the band before. To say they were absolutely delighted - Paul especially so, is an understatement. When Evan asked us if there was anything we'd like to hear & he dedicated "Favourite T" & "Big Gay Heart" to him.

The evening was topped off, when after the show as we waited for our taxi, Evan came out & chatted / posed for photographs with us. All in all, another wonderful evening at The Cluny. Thank you Mr Dando.

Really enjoyed this gig, although he was obviously knackered, he did rally - i think due to the raucous saturday night reception / support he got. First time i'd heard dead flowers (stones) played live, and also cracking version of Sam stone - again 1st time i've heard it live. Also the Gram P covers fantastic as usual.
But although I sang along to it at the time, i've totally forgotten the Buzzcocks (or was it magazine) cover he played about a minute of? i've been racking me brains ever since and cannot recall it. That's saturday nights and alchohol for you. It was just before he launched into a great version of "I don't care" - but with a very sad intro along the lines of "this is how i fell about life at the moment". This floored me for a bit afterwards, but i'm sure it was just his reaction to a shit day at the airport.
He looks bright as a button in the photos above, (glad no-one took one of me later on after the gig......)
Another great performance, the man always shines like a star at the Cluny.
