I thought at first this could have come from the Okabogees show but now I'm not so sure... Could be the McCabes Guitar Shop show, but again I don't think so. Haven't had time to dig them out and do a comparison.

All I remember is that he played an acoustic version of Mrs Robinson too. That's rare enough to narrow it down, still I don' tremmeber. Anyone ?

The only other version I have heard Ev do of this one is off the McCabes show. This is definitely a different and in my opinion better version which is really saying something. This is just about my favourite Dando cover. Absolute gold.

hells yes, this is sweet. and i agree, defo isn't McCabe's. You can tell it's early 90's somewhere from his voice though

Could be the Okabogees show in that case - Mrs. Robinson was played during that show too... Evan went off into a Morrisey impersonation towards the end of the song - was that the one? You find it in shortened form on the 'Sweet Lemondrops' bootleg but the full show has been shared on here too.

Do we reckon this is from Okabogees then? Antoine wants a copy and if anyone can confirm this is the right show for him I can either upload it or post him a copy of the show.

Cheers,

The tracklist for the Okabogees show on the Sweet Lemondrops bootleg is:

17 Nights Too Long 3:47
18 Allison's Starting To Happen 2:49
19 It's A Shame About Ray 3:21
20 Mallo Cup 2:36
21 Rudderless 3:32
22 Into Your Arms 2:12
23 Kitchen 4:24
24 Great Big No 3:25
25 Mrs. Robinson

Does this look like the show? The proper version of the show has more tracks, obviously, but this is the more common version that does the rounds.

Any help?

Yes ! I tihnk this is the one ! Brilliant, can you upload it ?

Now, since we are on the subject of long lost Evan bootlegs, there is another one I would love to find back :

It's a solo gig, acoustic, with cover versions of Wire's Outdoor Miner and the Velvet's I'll be your mirror. I had it on a tape in the mid 90s, but lost it.

Does it ring a bell to anyone ?

Antoine - just uploading the full Okabogees show now - about twenty mins to go. The zip is only 41mb so should be a breeze to download.

Full tracklist is:

Being Around
Turnpike Down
Night's Too Long
Alison's Starting...
Shame...
Mallocup
Rudderless
Into Your Arms
Kitchen
Great Big No
Mrs. Robinson
Hannah And Gabi
Kid - fragment of Pretenders' song
Confetti

Will PM you the link when I have it.

Enjoy!

Actually, I'm just listening to the show now and just before Night's Too Long Evan says, "Another Lucinda song." Another? Maybe some of the earlier part of the show is still cut out? Never thought about it before... or maybe Evan just made an incorrect comment? Mmm... be happy if there was more of this show to find, it's a killer...

Assuming it actually works (I've never used Rapidshare for uploads before!) I've now got the link to the Okabogees' download if anyone wants it. Post here and I'll PM it to you.
