Does anyone know the nature of his illness? I can not help but assume the obvious.

I wouldn't assume anything.

Unfortunately it's jolly hard not to assume the worst after twenty years of erratic behaviour, drug abuse, car crash gigs etc, etc. I really hope Ev is simply under the weather and that he gets over whatever is ailing him very soon. I'm not going to pretend I didn't immediately assume the worst when I heard the news about the American tour however. I just hope he gets well soon and wish him all the best...

He's in Jamaica now, mon. I guess he recovered. Too bad about the loyal, but shrinking, fan base that he's disappointed by canceling the rest of his tour. Not to mention club owners who are probably not going to book him again. Fuck it, it's kinda Rock n Roll :guitar:

I'm assuming he basically burned out. Been on the road for how long? Asia. Philippines. India. etc... I saw the tour schedule and wondered if he'd be able to pull it off.

He went to Jamaica to rest up. He didn't want to disappoint fans giving them less than stellar shows after they had paid good money for tickets.

That makes perfect sense Susan. Just seemed like an awfully aggressive schedule and we've all been there. I'm sure he'll space it out a bit more next time! (an LA stop included!!) -- Eric Mooney

Yes, Eric.He probably looks a bit like the Van Gogh in your picture right now. He a sensitive artist and I wonder how he handles it as well as he does.

Bummer, was really looking forward to the show at the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis. Until the past year or so Chuck Berry was still playing a show there once a month, Evan deserves to take that stage at least once. St. Louis loves you man, get better and please keep us in mind the next time you hit the road.

I never looked at it but that's a pretty crazy tour. Exhausted after just reading it.

Ha, just looked at the dates. The European tour is just as jam packed. That is crazy!

Thanks for introducing me to *"There's No Country Here," Evan Dando, 2-1-2015!* What a fantastic song. Even without writing new music, Mr. Dando keeps introducing me to new, good music. Discovered Townes on Varshons and now this little girls (Melody Williamson) who can write and sing a great song!

I sure hope whatever ails him passes. In the video's posted he was looking rough so I assume it is the drugs that still hold him back. Hopefully he gets control of it and puts himself into a better spot ahead of the European Tour.

Thanks again for the cool new music Mr. Dando.
